Blues boss Mick McCarthy is delighted that former loan duo Daryl Murphy and Jay Tabb opted for a return to Portman Road on a permanent basis, despite interest from elsewhere. The duo recently agreed two-year deals with Town following their release by Celtic and Reading respectively.

Town have confirmed that former loanee Jay Tabb has agreed to sign a two-year permanent deal following his release by Reading. TWTD revealed that the 29-year-old had been offered terms in late April after his successful spell towards the end of the season.
